We are really excited to introduce our upcoming course on Islamic Legal Theory with Shaykh Dr. Ahmed Saad! Ever wondered why scholars differ, or how they move from Qur’an and Sunnah to real life rulings? Our Usūl al Fiqh course with is a four month journey through the principles of the Maliki school, based on Al Waraqāt. You will learn how rulings are derived, how consensus and analogy work, and how concepts like maslahah, sadd al dhara’i and urf shape the fiqh you study. Perfect for you if You have a basic background in Islamic studies or fiqh, have studied a foundational Maliki text or attended previous Ihsan courses, and now want to understand the “why” behind the “what”.
